Job Description
We are looking for a Program Specialist to lead two key program areas for our client. This position will be full-time contract and onsite.
What You’ll Do
- Working across two key pilot program areas: NDI Step-Down and School-Based Prevention
- Reviewing referred cases to determine acceptance and providing feedback for denied cases
- Leveraging system-wide expertise to identify needs and service options
- Consulting and collaborating with relevant parties to understand needs
- Supporting cases from admission through treatment and ensuring smooth transitions post-discharge
- Reviewing treatment plans and collaborating for step-down/discharge plans
- Providing program referrals and managing required documentation
- Maintaining detailed case notes, tracking data for state reporting, and identifying barriers within systems
Required
- Master’s degree in social work, education, or other relevant field AND at least 3 years of relevant work experience OR Bachelor's degree AND at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Advanced knowledge of Indiana programs serving children across multiple systems
- Experience working with children with high acuity needs
- Ability to formulate and monitor treatment plans and coordinate services
- Critical thinking and strong judgment skills
- Skilled at navigating interagency dynamics
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in preparing reports and tracking data
- Sensitivity and ability to work with families from diverse backgrounds
- Adherence to confidentiality standards and compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and state policies
- At least 5 years of experience working with children with high acuity needs
- Past experience working with the State of Indiana and involved agencies (FSSA, DCS, DOE, NDI, LEAs)
- Lived experience related to the needs and services of children with high acuity needs
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
