Cal Pacific Truck Center (CPTC) is a commercial truck dealership that sells new and used trucks to private and municipal customers throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties. CPTC provides trucks for long term truck leases and shorter-term rentals to meet the needs of customers of all sizes and applications. In addition to selling and leasing equipment, Cal Pacific Truck Center provides full-service repair and parts support through our experienced employees and well-equipped facilities.
We are looking for a responsible Warehouse Associate to handle our busy warehouse and assist with distributing our products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Retrieves (pulls) purchased parts from inventory or if the requested parts are not in inventory determines availability, prepare parts requisition, and submit order as required
- Keeps accurate records of special-order parts
- Takes phone orders, following all procedures and completing all required documentation
- Assist outside sales representatives with their orders
- Processes orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up at counter
- Verify "will call" and "back-order" files weekly and return to vendors, or re-stocks those items not required
- Replenish assigned inventory daily
- Order parts not in stock for required repairs in accordance with company policies
- Follows up on special ordered items and promptly notifies service employees when received
- Maintains inventory on shelves and in bins by reporting items needing to be reordered, identifying any discrepancies in stock levels, and returning unsold items to stock
- Conducts inventory control activities and audits as directed by Supervisors
- Ensures that the same high-quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal customers
- Works with the service employees to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
- Follows up on customer concerns and complaints promptly, escalates any complaints to Parts Department Manager as needed
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with service departments and the sales department
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with "self-service" retail customers and wholesale customers to encourage repeat and referral business
- Completes all documents, forms and reports in accordance with company policy
- Uses proper safety equipment and acts in accordance with company policies, and regulations
- Ensures that the work areas are kept clean
- Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
- Understands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
- Maintains a professional appearance for self in accordance with company policy
Skills
- Proven working experience as a Warehouse Associate
- Valid professional driver’s license
- Ability to lift/carry parts, up to 50 lbs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good driving record with no traffic violations
- High school degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
