Job Description
The Network Engineer maintains the integrity, security, and optimization of the corporate and stadium network infrastructure. This includes all wired and wireless network devices and the software included to manage these devices. The Network Engineer also researches and tests new solutions to better optimize the network and improve performance and stability.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitors all network related devices to ensure all systems are running correctly and effectively.
Responds quickly to any outages and restores functionality quickly to minimize downtime and impact on staff.
Documents physical and logical network designs and speaks to the nature of the designs to provide management with the details they require for their approval of new network designs and proposed network changes.
Reviews logs and monitoring applications to check for irregularities or potential issues with network related devices.
Proactively reviews software and hardware upgrades. Tests changes in a test environment and prepares deployment to production network.
Deploys upgrades and patches to network related devices during a monthly maintenance window.
Confirms all devices are working correctly and are optimized for maximum performance.
Supports large scale stadium events by supplying hard line internet connections when requested.
Works closely with event IT teams to ensure all requests are met and events run to specifications and smoothly.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent degree and at least 5-7 years relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CCNP Enterprise Certification desirable.
Strong experience with designing, implementing, and managing a fully converged network including wireless, firewalls, routers, and switches using best practices.
Experience with monitoring solutions including Solarwinds and Brocade Network Advisor.
Working knowledge of Cisco network devices. Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling. High focused support of TCP/IP protocols, DNS and DHCP. Knowledge of Wi-Fi spectrums, channels and troubleshooting. Expert level experience with OSPF, and IPSec.
The candidate will be primarily engaged in working with Cisco equipment, handling routing, wireless, LAN configurations, switches, and hardware replacement tasks.
Juniper Firewall Experience desirable.
Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues across a wide variety of devices.
