Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for project schedule and cost performance by facilitating communications and coordination between the field, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, accounting, and project owners and/or consulting engineers. To assist in meeting the project schedule and the safe construction of our tank structures with the highest quality.
- Full involvement in tank construction from project start to completion.
- Assist, assemble, and transmit submittal packages with the assistance of the appropriate departments and external resources.
- Prepare, manage, and update project schedules within the project contract schedule requirements.
- Attend required project meetings such as preconstruction meetings and monthly construction progress meetings to manage project construction.
- Make visits as required to the site to ensure a safe, high quality, and productive construction of our projects.
- Interface with General Contractors, Subcontractors, Engineers, Owners, and Field Operations to maintain the project schedule.
- Monitor, manage and control project costs within the project budget.
- Accurately track and report project costs.
- Accurately project and update (at least monthly) project costs on Cost To Complete (CTC’s) sheets due to project changes (schedule, scope, etc.) actual reported costs, execution, performance etc.
- Scheduling coordination of trades, inspecting, testing placement, installation, and application of various construction activities required by the overall construction contract.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or a minimum of up to 5 years of general construction project management experience.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software, Microsoft Office Suite, Sage, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, CRM, and Timberscan.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Working knowledge of soil mechanics, concrete, steel reinforcement, tank construction, steel surface preparation, paint application, and all associated electrical and control equipment associated with tanks.
- The ability to travel is required. The amount of travel required varies but could be as much as 3 to 4 days per week, 2 to 3 weeks per month.
- Must be knowledgeable in the various building codes and standards including local and state building codes, as well as project specific requirements.
- Must be well versed in construction law, various local ordinances for each state in their territory, and all facets of local permit requirements.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
