Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Instructor (Part-Time, Contract)

Location: Calhoun Community College (Huntsville & Decatur Campuses – Alternating)
Job Type: Part-Time, Contract (Non-Tenured)
Schedule: Evening Hours (5:30 PM – 9:30 PM)
Compensation: $40 – $50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Job Description:

Calhoun Community College is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Pharmacy Technician Instructor to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. This role is ideal for an experienced pharmacy professional who enjoys teaching and mentoring students in their career development. The instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging coursework, developing supplemental teaching aids, and ensuring students gain the necessary skills for success in the pharmacy field.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Alabama-licensed Pharmacist
• Considered: Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with at least 6 years of field experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and teaching methodologies
• Previous teaching or training experience is a plus
• Ability to develop and implement instructional materials to enhance the curriculum
• Reliability and commitment to student success

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training
• Develop teaching aids to support the curriculum
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Foster a positive and interactive learning environment
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices
