Position Description
We have a great role working with a highly-rated CPA and business advisory services firm here in the both industrial and financially growing city of Salt Lake City, UT.This regionally owned accounting firm helps a high number of locally based businesses in multiple industries including logistics, retail, distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and professional services. Services include Tax prep and Tax review for C-Corps, S-Corps, estates, trusts, and partnerships.

Responsibilities & Duties:
-Strong analytical and technical tax accounting skills with the ability to research and implement tax liability and asset protection strategies and having a strong management perspective as far as tax work for private and public businesses.
-Ability to perform tax prep and review work with multiple entities including partnerships, C Corps, S Corps, High Net Worth -individuals, as well as trusts and estate entities.
-Managing multiple tax engagements and skilled at both prep as well as review work for business tax returns
-Able to identify what may be wrong with tax returns based on initial reviews and paperwork
-Ability to be a good leader and interact well with other tax employees and act as a mentor and coach for more junior tax employees
-Work with the partners and founders for reviewing any complex issues and or strategies for multiple clients
Qualifications:
-Bachelors Degree in accounting or equivalent (Finance, Business, Data analytics)
-4-6 years of public accounting experience, (CPA, advisory, finance, wealth planning accounting firm)-preferable of 5-7 years for a more senior tax role.
-CPA preferred and or CPA in progress and ability to sit for CPA relatively soon
-Enrolled Agent also acceptable with 4-6 years of public accounting experience, (CPA type, accounting, family office, wealth MGT, CFO services firm)
-Experienced in a variety of Tax / accounting software programs including CCH, Pro System, and or other tax planning software (Thompson Reuters)
-Experience with tax prep / review on C-Corp, S-Corp, individual, HNW, and complex entity arrangements
-Detail oriented and great personal skills working with high profile clients, founders, CEOs, and VPs or multi million dollar organizations
Pay and Benefits:
- $120,000-$160,000 salary per year
- P0O, generous Policy

- Full time hours, schedule can vary slightly depending on time of year / tax season
