Position Overview
Join our dynamic clinical team as a Medical Tech Assistant, where your enthusiasm matters at least as much as your experience. You’ll support our surgeons and optometric staff in delivering exceptional patient care across a full spectrum of refractive services.
Prior clinical or ophthalmic experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals without formal training to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and surgical suites with instruments and equipment
- Perform diagnostic pre‑testing: refractometry, topography, pachymetry, visual acuity, tonometry, slit‑lamp setup
- Assist in patient intake and history collection
- Guide patients through pre‑ and post‑operative visits, explaining procedures and next steps
- Sterilize instruments, maintain clinical inventory, and uphold infection control standards
- Support documentation and charting in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and technicians for seamless patient flow
