Job Description And Duties
Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), Office of Information Services (OIS), the Information Technology Associate is responsible for supporting and maintaining the numerous Oracle Database development, test and production environments for DIR OIS. Duties include but are not limited to:
Work with the DIR Information Security Office (ISO) team to continuously develop, maintain and stay up to date on asset management security controls. Incumbent shall be able to organize assignments, work under pressure, have attention to detail and possess effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work professionally and ethically.

The Information Technology Associate will be expected to work in a high rise office building in Downtown Oakland, and optionally telework if required. Being in a stationary position for long periods of time. Office is within walking distance of public transportation.

Working knowledge of Unix and Linux Operating Systems, shell scripting programming language(s) and computer systems software, including the procedures for installation and configuration on servers to ensure DIR OIS Development, Pre-Prod and Production Database needs are fully met.
