  • Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure proper documentation of diagnoses and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding referral status and requirements.
  • Assist in the resolution of any issues related to referrals or authorizations.
  • Collaborate with medical office staff to streamline referral processes and improve patient flow.
  • Stay informed about changes in managed care policies and procedures that may affect referral processes.

Skills

  • Proficiency in managing medical records and understanding of coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10).
  • Experience working in a medical office setting is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
