GENERAL MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
The General Manager is responsible for all functions of the restaurant. These functions include
directing daily operations, training, restaurant cleanliness, guest relations, directing of staff, completion of food and beverage orders as needed, serving of quality food and beverage, and maintaining company standards and culture.
- Ensure that all food and products follow the standard operating procedures.
- Ensure that the team follows the standard operating procedures of sanitation and cleanliness to ensure the appearance of the facility through the training of employees and by creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Follow up on all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure that all delivered products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
- Achieve company objectives in service, quality, sales, and profitability.
