POSITION SUMMARY:
Full-time, benefited position through the California State University, Fresno Foundation. Under general direction of the Accounting Manager, the Revenue Technician is responsible for verifying cash collections and preparing daily bank deposits for Auxiliary Services; assisting field offices with credit card transaction processing; also responsible for placing change orders with the bank.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Revenue Technician will be responsible for the following operations. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Balance and deposit all cash, checks and charges tendered to appropriate company bank accounts daily
- Schedule cash transport services for all Auxiliary Corporations (except Kennel Bookstore)
- Reconcile credit card transaction statements to JD Edwards accounting software on a monthly basis.
- Assist with credit card terminal set up and transaction processing issues
- Assist with resolving any credit card charge disputes, chargebacks or transaction amount discrepancies
- Fill change orders for all Auxiliary Corporations cash operations (except Kennel Bookstore) weekly or as needed
- Order deposit supplies and paper products as needed
- Answer general questions for customers regarding account numbers, preparation of deposit slips and correct cash handling procedures daily
- Disperse Food Service petty cash with appropriate management approval as needed
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, and adhere to all operating procedures and policies of the Association
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic level of experience using JD Edwards accounting software, or ability to learn JD Edwards within a reasonable time frame is required
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and valid insurance as travel may be a requirement of the position
Other Skills and Abilities
- Operate computers with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. Operate other office machinery (copy machine, 10-key, etc.).
- Perform a wide range of general office duties including tasks such as filing, answering telephones, handling routine correspondence, and other common office duties.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products with basic to intermediate skills using Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to function as part of a team, be self-motivated, and able to work independently.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K and life insurance, vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.
