Overview
Serve as a Clinical Teaching Faculty and be primarily responsible for teaching and advising first and second-year medical students.
Responsibilities may include:
- Weekly small-group meetings on clinical case-based discussions and/or sessions on public/population health, medical humanities, professionalism, and ethics.
- Student advising, mentoring, and academic support
- Participation in faculty development related to the Clinical Teaching Faculty program and other relevant curricular components.
- Participation in clinical skills teaching and evaluation.
- Assessing the students during clinical examinations (OSCE).
- Service on university committees
Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO).
- Clinical experience. Additional experience with teaching is preferred.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with students, standardized patients, and faculty.
- Interest in teaching students.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
Working Environment:
A university/office environment; moderate changes in temperature and noise.
Salary Range:
The pay for this position is $100/hr.
