Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Courses in insurance billing, data processing.
Experience: Minimum 5 Years’ experience billing Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Etc. Working Knowledge of healthcare software preferred ( Practice Velocity Software* is a Plus). Demonstrated knowledge of accounts receivable, payer billing and reimbursement procedures and practices preferred.

Professionalism, accuracy, dependability, and confidentiality are essential. Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness and prepare claims and prioritize

*Electronic claim processing on software system.
* Ensure a timely turnaround on accounts receivable. Work with team to help maintain AR days at or near target level.
*Maintain proficiency on clinics billing system, Monitor Claims for missing information and authorization numbers. Keep updated on all billing requirements and changes for all insurance types.
*Respond to billing denials. Follow up with insurance carriers timely on unpaid claims until claims are paid or only self-pay balance remains. Process rejections by either making accounts self-pay and generating a letter of rejection to patient or correct any billing error and resubmitting claims to insurance carriers.
*Respond to phone requests in an efficient, timely, and effective manner. Secure needed medical documentation required or requested by insurances. *Interact with customers in order to provide assistance to resolve billing issues. Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude. *Prepare, reviews and sends patient statements.
*Conduct a self in accordance with HIPAA's employee manual, Maintain strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations. * Demonstrate passion for excellence in a day to day work activities.
