What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development position at Call To Freedom?
Call to Freedom is committed to identifying and responding to the needs of individuals at-risk of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation and those working to transition out of human trafficking. The Director of Development is responsible for planning and implementing fund raising relations strategies, acquiring gifts from foundations, government resources, corporations, service organizations, and individuals via approved planned giving programs, annual giving program, and grant development/writing.
Supervised by: Executive Director
Primary Responsibilities
Fundraising
- Plan and execute an annual giving campaign.
- Plan and execute planned giving program/endowment opportunities.
- Plan and execute a government, foundation, and corporate grant writing program.
- Plan and facilitate any capital and/or endowment fund campaigns identified by the Executive Director.
- Develop Annual Reports.
- Work with the Executive Director and designated volunteers to cultivate and solicit potential donors.
- Work with Director of Finance to facilitate all monthly agency federal and state drawdowns for agency.
- Oversee resource development record-keeping system.
- Monitor and evaluate all development department activities.
- Be aware of all current national trends and information regarding human trafficking as well as network with other nationwide organizations to assure the best delivery of services to victims/survivors.
- Maintains all privacy and confidentiality of all Call to Freedom financial and grants information.
- Adherence to the National Society of Fund-Raising Executives code of ethical principles and standard of professional practice.
Public Constituency Relations:
- Ensure development and implementation of public relations program.
- Work with Executive Director to develop promotional materials to enhance our image and communicate our mission and services.
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in public administration, financial planning, marketing, or related field and a minimum of three years’ experience fund raising or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Fundraising Executive preferred. (CFRE Certification)
- Knowledge of non-profit agency practices and operations is desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexible, self-directed, and responsive.
- Full-time 40 hours per week salaried position.
