Pay: $16.00 per hour

Location: Lake Ozark, Missouri

Hours: Thursday - Sunday; 10-hour shifts

 

Are you looking for a unique opportunity to assist in preparing quality meals and contribute to creating a homey atmosphere? Calo Programs is seeking a Prep Cook to support our Cook / Chef with food preparation. In this role, you'll have the chance to interact with both students and staff, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. The typical work schedule will be Friday through Sunday, offering a rewarding blend of culinary work and community engagement.

We are Calo Programs, a Residential Treatment Center, driven by COMMITMENT, ACCEPTANCE, SECURITY & ATTUNEMENT.

We work with adolescents and their families who struggle with Reactive Attachment Disorder and emotional dysregulation.  We provide an environment that is safe, progressive, and nurturing to help facilitate deep healing, exponential growth, and lasting change.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation for students and staff.
• Follow menus and guidelines set by the Dietitian.
• Support food preparation for weekend meals, ensuring all ingredients are ready for staff.
• Collaborate with the cook/chef to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen.
• Contribute to creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience for students.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, health, and safety standards.
• Valid Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe Certification required.
• Previous experience ordering from food service vendors.
• Experience preparing food for large groups.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Must successfully pass state and federal background checks as well as drug screen
