- Job Summary:
- Responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating the completion of all revenue cycle functions related to billing and collections. Leads team to maintain AR days, denials, and cash on hand for facility. Supervisory position, that helps in staff development and payer issue resolution. Also serves as a department liaison.
- Education:
- High School Diploma required, 2 years of college preferred.
- Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- Technical Certification through AAHAM required, or similar experience.
- Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in healthcare business office setting.
- Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates use of computer skills to include Windows & Microsoft Office. Extensive Knowledge of Insurance plans, coverage types, and medical terminology. Demonstrated understanding of revenue cycle concepts and process flows. Extensive knowledge of claim forms used for healthcare billing (UB04, HCFA 1500). Knowledge of transaction codes sets pertaining to area of supervision. Maintains knowledge of all payer billing and collection rules. Ability to communicate issues effectively with all levels of staff and departments. Able to lead meetings and serve as department representative as needed. Able to work independently and make sound judgments in dealing with problems, issues and concerns. Works regularly with information restricted to specific persons, discretion and integrity are recognized requirements of the job.
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
Location: Calvert Health System · CMC PT FIN SERVICES
Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift, M-F 8am - 4pm
Salary : $20 - $35
