Oversees the Urban, Rural and Inclined Plane Transportation departments, ensuring effective customer service and timely operations. The position assists and supports the Chief Operations Officer (COO) by providing management oversight of the Authority’s bus operations. Assists the COO in implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures and establishing metrics for analysis and implementation of change initiatives to meet service objectives.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration and/or Management or a related field is preferred
- A minimum of six years of management, supervisory and customer service experience. Transit or Transportation industry and union environment experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of the service area and advanced knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office is required.
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess or obtain a Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement and with air brakes and pass and maintain a DOT Physical (CamTran provides in-house training for CDL)
- Must be willing to accept night and weekend call outs
- Subject to random drug and alcohol testing (safety-sensitive position)
- Starting Salary Range: $59,000 - $72,000 based on education and experience
