What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Para/Instructional Assistant position at Cambridge-Isanti School District 911?
Qualifications/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED.
A successful background check is required.
Prefer experience working with school age children.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Patience, flexibility, love for children, confidentiality, teamwork, self-starter, takes direction easily, excellent communication skills, behavior management skills, assist in the classroom and in special education classroom.
Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self-discipline, and honesty.
Specific Tasks:
Work with student throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics. Refocus the student in the classroom, de-escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior, work cooperatively with classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
