What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Dental Assistant position at Cambridge Pediatric Dental Associates?
Premier pediatric/orthodontic group dental practice in Cambridge presents an opportunity for a senior orthodontic assistant. Our practice is built upon trusting relationships that help children develop positive attitudes about their dental health. Superior communication skills are a must. We are looking for a professional, reliable and upbeat team member who strives to learn and grow within their position. This is a part time position Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, no weekend hours with excellent compensation and benefits (health insurance, 401k, paid time off).
Job Duties:
- -Panoramic and cephalometric radiographs
- -Facial and intraoral photographs
- -Assisting the orthodontist with clinical procedures
- -Alginate impressions and wax bite
- -iTero scan
- -Placement and removal of separators
- -Placement and removal of archwires and elastic ties
- -Maintenance of a clean environment
- -Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments as needed
- -Pouring models and making retainers
- -Oral hygiene communication
- -Treatment coordination
Experience & Requirements:
-At least 1 year orthodontic assisting
-Experience with Invisalign
-Dental assistant license for Massachusetts
-Radiology certificate
-CPR/First Aid certified
