What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excel Tutoring Site Coordinator position at Cambridge Public Schools?
Description of Service Opportunity:
The Excel Tutoring Site Coordinator will
-Oversee the daily logistics of the after school tutoring program at their site, including gathering students, providing snacks, maintaining staff and student attendance, and ensuring smooth dismissal procedures
-Communicate with families to support student enrollment, update families on student experiences (i.e., through newsletters), and answering caregivers questions
-Support the material needs of program tutors and assist in the facilitation of transition and enrichment activities as part of a 60-90 minute after school program.
-Cultivate positive relationships with students to maintain and foster a school climate that promotes high expectations of all students.
-Provide substitute coverage, at the lead teacher rate
All staff will receive training around the program’s data collection programming and research/evidence-based methodologies. Additional training dates and times will be determined based on site tutors' professional development needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience working with school age children in a diverse urban setting.
Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues in support of students.
Preference given to staff from Cambridge Public School District.
Length of Contract:
October 15, 2024 through January 10, 2025
Contract Amount:
$40.00 per hourly, Not exceed $2800.00
