What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Part-time: Adult Basic Skills Program Math Instructor position at Camden City Campus?
- Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Provide Mathematics instruction to adult learners who are enrolled in the ABS Program with instruction from the ABS Basic level through the Advanced level.
- Employ a hands-on approach to teaching that will allow learners to master math competencies including algebra and geometry.
- Administer and analyze pre and post-assessments to determine students’ proficiency foundation and progress indicators as required.
- Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
- Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Elementary Education or Mathematics.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching Adult Basic Skills or post-secondary education.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in teaching older youth and adults 16-27.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in teaching in a diverse and cultural setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide instruction for Mathematics.
- Strong computer skills for instruction and academic assessment.
