JOB TITLE: Manager - Rehabilitation
SHIFT: 64 - 80 Hours Bi-Weekly, Day Shift
BENEFITS: This position is considered Full Time with benefits available.
Summary/Objective
The Clinical Manger of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Rehabilitation Department, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Cardiopulmonary services, Clinical Secretaries, and Rehabilitation aides. Working closely with clinical staff and the Executive Director of Care Transitions and Experience, the Clinical Manager will be responsible for the management of department staff, budget, quality, and customer relations.
Essential Functions
- Manages, plans, and supervises all clinical and technical aspects of the department regarding services, programs, and evaluation of services/programs.
- Maintains services in accordance with professional, local, state, and federal standards which may apply.
- Responsible for all aspects of department staffing including selection, supervision, discipline, training/competency, schedules (including weekends), attendance, operating efficiencies, marketing, and performance reviews.
- Work with all members of the Leadership Team to coordinate therapy services and facilitate timely resolution of inter/intradepartmental issues.
- Assists in management of department capital and operational budget preparation and monitoring, taking, or proposing action to maintain operations within budget.
- Responsible for the maintenance of department equipment and such contractual services as may be required.
- Maintains department quality improvement programs consistent with organizational goals and objectives.
- Supports and participates in process improvement initiatives that result in the delivery of integrated services.
- Coordinates department supplies and equipment purchasing, installation, and utilization.
- Assists in the review, development, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains active clinical license and assists in patient care when necessary.
- Ensures that all staff are in good standing with licensure and certifications
- Exemplifies good customer service.

- Demonstrate proficient use of email and hospital EMR.
Qualifications
Experience
- In-depth knowledge of therapy services, professional, State, and Federal standards as well as advanced clinical skills.
- Managerial skills gained through supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Skills/Competencies
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and analytical ability.
Education Required
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred).
Licenses Requirements
- Must be currently licensed as therapist (Physical, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Therapy) in the State of Indiana.
Certifications Required or Preferred
- BLS or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
