What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at Cameron Manufacturing & Design Inc?
Position:
To ensure the safe, usable and reliable condition of, and to maintain the expected performance of all corporate buildings, machinery and vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to repair buildings, CNC machinery, equipment, & vehicles with little to no supervision or direction
- Repair small tools as needed
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles are in safe working condition
- Understand Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures
- Assist with Company Functions relating to setup and teardown
- Assist with environmentally safe disposal of waste materials
- Personal, basic tools required
- Basic electrical & plumbing knowledge required
- Basic carpentry skills required
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics & hydraulics is required
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED Equivalency
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Lifting, carrying, pushing & pulling up to 75 lbs.
- Standing; constant standing upright, while working at workbenches, machinery, or operating equipment.
- Stooping; frequently bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
- Reaching; frequently extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Handling; frequently seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, such as to turn a switch or shift automobile gears.
- Fingering; frequently picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
- Feeling; occasionally noting attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
- Hearing; constantly perceiving the nature of sounds by ear.
- Near acuity vision; constant clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
- Proximity to moving parts; frequent exposure to possible bodily injury from moving mechanical parts of equipment, tools, or machinery.
- Exposure to noise; frequent exposure to mild to moderate noise levels. Noise from powered press brakes, powered shears, automatic punches, power hand grinders, power hand sanders, air compressors, forklift trucks, and hammering.
Other:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
