What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Supervisor position at Camp K-9 of Marin?
Camp K-9 of Marin is hiring for an Overnight Supervisor to act as guardian for our overnight doggy guests. This is a low stress, night position from 9pm until 6am (This is a 9 hour shift, 1 hour of it is mandatory overtime that will be paid at time and a half). We are looking for 1 part-time employee to fill the Friday and Saturday night shifts.
Description:
The Overnight Supervisor is responsible for securing the premises, checking in on the dogs, completing basic cleaning or paperwork chores. If a dog is sick or injured, the Overnight Supervisor contacts the Director on Duty and will take that pet to emergency animal clinic if necessary.
This position requires limited contact with staff and customers. The Overnight Supervisor is welcome to relax in the Staff Lounge which is equipped with a kitchenette, sofa, WiFi, Cable TV-VCR-DVD, etc. When not checking on dogs and completing tasks, napping is permitted.
Requirements:
- You MUST be amazingly RELIABLE, HONEST, PUNCTUAL and RESPONSIBLE.
- Knowledge of day to day dog health is preferred.
- You must be comfortable working alone.
- You must be level headed and capable of making decisions in emergency situations regarding dog health.
- You must be prepared to transport a sick or injured animal if needed. A valid driver's license, reliable car and proof of insurance are required for this shift.
- You must be comfortable handling all sized dogs and able to lift up to 60lbs.
Wages:
- This 9 hour night position is paid for 8 hours at straight time and 1 hour of overtime.
Salary:
- Hourly wage is $15.50
