Duties
- Supervise campers overnight, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Lead engaging activities including but not limited to sports, arts and crafts, performing arts, horseback riding, and outdoor adventures that promote childhood development and teamwork
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Maintain clear communication with fellow staff members regarding camper progress
- Assist with setting up camp facilities, organizing evening programs, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all participants
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp environments is highly desirable but not required
- Strong management skills to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Passion for working with youth and fostering a positive camp atmosphere
