Summer Camp Counselor

Important: We are a DAY CAMP. We DO NOT provide housing/accommodations. This is a seasonal position.

We are looking for compassionate, inspiring, dedicated, & creative leaders with a CAN-DO attitude, who will delight in bringing fun and engaging activities to our kids this summer all while making lifelong memories or friends along the way.

We welcome Guides with specialties/passions in Arts & Crafts, Performance, Robotics, Cooking, Nature, Science, Archery/Sports, Dance, Theater, Filmmaking, Comics, 3-D Printing, Digital Animation, Wax Creations, and more!

Our Guides...

• are Teachers/Educators/"Camp Counselor" hybrids
• will lead/oversee 3 activity electives with their team: something active, something hands-on/exploratory, and something creative/artsy
• are comfortable creating projects, curriculum, and have some experience leading classes
• excel at managing groups with ease- can balance connecting with each camper as an individual, while nurturing a unique, fun, and spirited group culture
• communicate clearly and compassionately with families, campers, and staff alike
• possess flexibility to calmly and maturely respond to changing needs
• have a growth mindset and appreciate the opportunity to implement feedback
• consistently bring energy, enthusiasm, and spirit to their role

• Valley Campus: 12020 Burbank Blvd. Valley Village, CA 91607

Essential Details

• Seasonal position
• WeHo Campus: June 20-July 28 (likely will have July 3-7 off) *Opportunity for hours in August at Valley campus
• Valley: June 20- Aug 4 (may have July 3-7 off) *Additional hours may be avail 8/7- 8/18
• Staff Training: June 3, 4, 10, (times tbd)
• Set-Up Day: Saturday, June 17
• 1st Summer Guides- $18/hour ($20 for credentialed teachers)
• General Guide hours are 8:20am- 3:05pm
• Mondays: 8:05am- 3:05pm
• 3 Thursdays: 8:20am- 3:50pm (staff PD)
• Minimal additional times for camp set-up clean-up
• Optional additional hours for Extended Care
• Options to work future Spring/Winter camps
