JOB SUMMARY
The Office Coordinator works under the supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Therapy and Sleep Center Services. Works to coordinate the administrative aspects and activities and assists the Manager with job-related projects.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Assists Manager in completion of administrative aspects of Respiratory Therapy and Sleep Center Services projects.
- Coordinates administrative activities for Respiratory Therapy and Sleep Center services including prioritizing the scheduling multiple outpatient tests and procedures.
- Coordinates meetings, prepares agendas and related materials, and records and distributes minutes for the meetings, as required.
- Performs secretarial duties for the Manager and department.
- Maintains communication link between the Manager, department staff, medical staff, hospital staff, and the public.
- Initiates and maintains patient’s record.
- Verifies insurance and completes preauthorization.
- Acts as the liaison between referring provider clinics, patients, vendors and other agencies.
- Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

- Minimum two years of college or four years of experience in a secretarial position preferred.
