The Canby School District Head Start Preschool program is hiring a Bilingual Instructional Assistant to begin August 29, 2023. This position is scheduled for approximately 34 hours per week, working from Monday to Thursday.
Please note, this position requires completion of 72 college-level quarter credits or certification as a highly qualified paraprofessional.

About This Position
The Instructional Assistant performs a variety of duties with students and assists teachers and specialists in supporting students, with an emphasis in reading, writing, math and/or behavior.

Compensation
- The Bilingual Instructional Assistant position is at Level L of the classified salary schedule and is based on a 182-day/9-month work year.
- The estimated beginning salary for this position is $18.65-$19.79 per hour; however, highly experienced candidates may be placed higher on the salary schedule at hiring.
- Applicants who hold a Bachelor's degree will automatically be placed at Step 3.
- Where will I be placed on the salary schedule?
- In addition to this salary, the Canby School District will pay the employee’s 6 percent PERS contribution.
- This position is eligible for full-time benefits.
Applicant agrees to assume cost and arrange for a fingerprint-based criminal records check upon offer of employment ($10-$20 at printing; $66 payroll deduction). Applicant has the choice to pay the $66.00 fingerprint fee up front or have the fee deducted from their first paycheck.
All Canby School District employees must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or request approval of a medical or non-medical exception using the appropriate Oregon Health Authority request form.
