What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Girls Basketball Coach position at CANBY SD 86?
Canby High School is hiring an Extra Duty Assistant Girls Basketball Coach to begin November 13, 2023.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work successfully with high school students, families, school staff, and the public
- Ability to perform extra duty responsibilities in accordance with school and district procedures and policies.
- Knowledge of emergency first aid procedures; current first aid card or willingness to obtain one required
- Ability to meet criminal records requirements of the state of Oregon
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
- Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or request approval of a medical or non-medical exception using the appropriate Oregon Health Authority request form
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in/knowledge of the sport of basketball, coaching techniques, and student supervision
Required Trainings

OSAA Trainings: Fundamentals of Coaching, Steroid Awareness, Heat Acclimatization, Concussion Training, Interrupting and Preventing Discriminatory Acts
- SafeSchools Training
In addition to salary, the Canby School District pays the employee's 6% contribution to PERS (retirement account), if applicable. Applicant agrees to assume cost and arrange for FINGERPRINT-BASED CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK upon offer of employment ($10-$20 at printing; $66 payroll deduction).
