- CPA certification (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in construction or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).
- Proven leadership skills and a desire to grow into a management role.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to guide company decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal tax regulations, including preparing and filing tax returns.
- Develop and implement internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to track job costs and profitability.
- Provide financial analysis to support company growth.
- Maintain and manage 1099 contractor filings and ensure timely issuance.
- Assist in the establishment of a full accounting division to manage client financials and audits.
