The Senior QA Engineer will be part of this exciting development and will be working with a strong technical team that has experience delivering the solutions to large carriers. Participate in building a High end firewall platform for data centers/Carriers that provides high throughput packet processing to the service provider using latest networking technologies.
Description:
Execute functional/performance testing on products using a combination of manual and auto-testing techniques · Focus on high-end firewall product test · Create, maintain and execute test specifications and test cases as well as scripting · Reproduce, identify, document and track software/hardware defects found during testing · Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified/reproduced and fixed · Passionate, motivated and always willing to learn and explore new technologies · A good team player.
Experience Required:
- 8 years hand-on experiences in QA testing or Technical supporting of Networking/firewall features at system level
- Strong understanding of test methodologies
- Deep understanding of test strategy and test planning
- Solid Understanding of routing and switching technologies such as STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, IPv4, IPv6
- Solid Understanding of security technologies like firewall, IDS/IPS, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge and trouble-shooting experience on most used techniques or networking protocols, Routing protocols, MPLS VPN, DoS, IPSec VPN, Radius, network sniffers (Ex. Wireshark), packet replay, IPv6, HA, STP, vSphere, Linux etc.
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Hands-on experience writing and executing test automation
- Experience in handling customer issues efficiently and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software logically and analytically
- Experience in using Spirent or Ixia traffic generator is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus
- Have an advanced networking certification such as CCNP, CCIE, etc. is a plus
- Ability to work in collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments
- Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints
Education:
BSCS, or equivalent experience
