QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid LVN license
- Work well on a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic first aid and health care practices and procedures
- Knowledge of how to care for diabetic students
- Ability to physically transfer students according to proper procedures
- Ability to understand and address students with special needs
- Ability to act as a liaison with health care professionals and community agencies
- BLS Certification
REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain up-to-date cumulative health and immunization records
- Ability to implement and monitor individual health care plan
- Assist student in classroom setting
- Administer first aid care for ill, medically fragile, and injured student; follow-up with parents and school personnel regarding school emergencies
- Appraise, promote, and protect the optimal health status of students and staff.
- Able to build rapport and maintain confidentiality with students, parents and faculty
- Perform other duties as assigned
