Camp Host Wanted, Summer/Winter
Canyon Pines RV Resort in Pollock, Idaho has a VOLUNTEER camp host position open starting Now, through mid-November, and throughout the winter if you want to stay. You must have your own RV and a maximum of 2 people.
This is a volunteer (non-paid) position in exchange for a free campsite. A few extra hours are possible with pay. Volunteering as a camp host is a partnership between yourself and the Park. Camp hosts stay for several months. Scheduled (days on and off) is flexible based on your needs & the park’s needs. Hours vary weekly depending on park occupancy and weather. It’s usually 16 hours per week during the summer but there is very little work needed throughout the winter months.
Work includes weeding, watering, edging, mowing, fertilizing, spraying for weeds, etc... and guiding people into their sites if needed. During the winter, hauling garbage, cleaning bathrooms and possible shoveling snow and putting down ice melt, on the few occasions that we even get snow.
Compensation includes FHU’s showers/restroom, 6 cable TV channels, WI-FI, discounts on most in store merchandise, propane at cost and reasonable stipend for power. Additional compensation is negotiable and, on a case,-by-case basis. Small country store and laundry facilities on site. We are located near Riggins, Idaho, right on the Little Salmon River, in the second deepest canyon in North America.
