As an RN in our Medical-Surgical Department, you will utilize your expertise in plan-of-care interventions, patient advocacy, assessment skills, critical thinking, and life-saving interventions to impact not only the lives of the patients you care for but their loved ones as well.
Job Summary:
- The Medical-Surgical Department is a 34 bed unit.
- The RN assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs.
- Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients.
- Develops individual nursing care plans.
- Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed.
- Evaluates patient care outcomes.
- Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees.
- Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
- Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
- Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.
