Drywall Finisher

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and restoration, with the ability to deliver high-quality finishes on drywall installations. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in various finishing techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction sites.

Duties

• Applying tape and joint compound to fill joints, holes, and cracks in drywall surfaces.
• Sanding smooth after compound dries to ensure a consistent finish.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Communicate with contractors, supervisors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation and repair process

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent, completed a vocational training program in drywall installation, or a related field.
• Currently has or is able to obtain a minimum of OSHA10.
• Understanding of basic drywall handling and installation
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Understanding of and willingness to follow construction site safety practice
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Drywall Finisher
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Strong knowledge of drywall installation and repair techniques
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
