Job Description:
As a Box Office Associate at Cape May Stage, South Jersey's premier professional theater, you will be responsible for assisting patrons with a variety of ticketing needs before and during a show. You will also act as an in-person resource to answer patron questions, provide a friendly face at the box office, and create a positive patron experience. As part of the box office team, you will also help keep the inside and outside of theater neat and presentable, and assist with community outreach activities, as necessary. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours available.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day to day operations of ticketing box office
- Answer incoming calls and emails
- Book reservations for shows in person and over the phone
- Process and verify credit card and cash transactions
- Maintain superior customer service both in person and over the phone
- Help seat guests before the show and assist late arrivals
- Handle any issues that arise quickly and efficiently
- Other duties as assigned
Dates: August, 2025 through end of December, 2025.
Qualifications:
- Excellent skills in customer service, and phone etiquette
- Experience processing electronic credit card payments
- Working knowledge of phone handling, cashiering, and customer service
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve under pressure
- Positive, outgoing attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent
