We are looking for a seasonal, full-time Dock Receiver to join our team!

Pay: $16.50-$17/hr, based on experience

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday from 7:00am until the work is done.

Job Description

The Dock Receiver will focus on quality inspections on in-bound products. The position will perform all functions of the Dock Assistant including preparing, sorting and packing produce for shipment; loading and unloading product as it enters and departs through the warehouse.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Include the following and other duties as assigned):

• Inspects and logs quality issues, takes appropriate pictures and enters data into the system
• Grade produce according to physical condition of the product
• Sort produce by size and color
• Applies labels to pallets
• Assisting QC in the handling of incoming freight
• Help train new employees in the process of Receiving
• Weigh cartons on scale to insure proper weight of product
• Prepare and monitor product inventory
• Unload bulk produce from semi-trucks
• Assist in rotating product based on instructions for QC Specialist or Dock Supervisor
• Assist Dock Assistants in all areas as necessary
• Operate forklifts and electric and manual hand jacks (following proper training)
• Assist with warehouse cleaning at the end of shift
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Occupational Safety Procedure and all Food Safety guidelines related to the position or being on the Warehouse floor
• Other duties as assigned by Dock leaders or management

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3 Years Dock Experience preferred
• 3 Years of Receiving Product and Recording the Necessary Data preferred

Mathematical Skills:

Some independent decision making and problem-solving abilities are required to complete orders, as well as assist staff and customers. Ability to perform basic math calculations.

• Occasional sitting, climbing and reaching above shoulder height
• Frequent repetitive hand movements/grasping

• Ability to be mobile throughout required work areas

General warehouse conditions exist. Moderate temperature conditions. Minimal exposure to cooler temperatures (38 degrees Fahrenheit). Minimal exposure to elements or chemicals. Extended hours may be required. Exposure to moving equipment/machinery. The working conditions may include moderate noise levels.

Pay Range:

$16.50-$17/hr, based on experience
