The Office Manager / Scheduler performs daily operational functions in and out of the office. Primary duties include screening and on-boarding new caregivers, scheduling caregiving shifts and communicating shift assignments to caregivers and clients, and meeting with new and existing clients. Office Managers oversee the day-to-day operations of an office environment. They make sure that the office runs efficiently and that employees have what they need to be successful (e.g., supplies, a safe work environment). They also sometimes manage administrative or support staff.
- Beyond the day-to-day running of the office, Office Managers also make sure that customer and client queries and complaints are addressed, keep employees productive and motivated, and create an office environment that is clean and safe — all while operating within their organization’s budget. Also office managers must fill in for aide if required on short notice.

Office Manager duties and responsibilities
- Overseeing the work of all office employees to ensure they work productively and meet deadlines and company standards
- Answering telephone calls and emails from customers and clients and directing them to relevant staff
- Monitoring office supplies and ordering new stationery, furniture, appliances and electronics as required
- Interviewing and training new office employees and organizing their employment paperwork
- Organizing maintenance companies to keep the office clean and safe and ensure its appliances are in good working order
- Reporting office progress to senior management and working with them to improve office operations and procedures
