As a Director of Technical Program Management, you will lead critical programs that deliver on business goals and build large-scale products & platforms.
About the Team
You will work closely with our Card Tech organization to manage integration with Discover, supporting technical testing scoping and execution. Additionally, you will help pave the way for expanding the TPM discipline within the team, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to grow the reach and influence of the TPM at Capital One.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large-scale products & platforms
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, design, and data science representatives
- Drive well-educated decisions and simplify complex technical concepts
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery
- Grow and develop a team of TPMs while building the foundations for the TPM practice
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
- At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Strong technical backgrounds with ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- 3 years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS
- 3 years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms
- 3 years of experience with Agile delivery
