Summary:
The Service Technician will perform repair work and maintenance for equipment and parts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical defects and determine extent of needed repair in tractors, skid steers, track loaders, cranes, mowers, forklifts, rollers, compactors, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, scrapers, excavators and other diesel and gas-powered agricultural, construction and turf equipment, to include handheld equipment.
- Weld and fabricate.
- Diagnose and repair automotive-style air conditioning systems.
- Perform diagnostics on CAN Bus systems.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical wiring.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic systems, including but not limited to pumps, motors, and cylinders.
- Electronically documents repairs fully in a clearly understood manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic computing skills including Microsoft Office.
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of equipment repair.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Ability to read parts manuals and correctly select parts needed for equipment repairs.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self- starter and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, unassisted.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Could be required to stand for long periods of time.
