Caplugs, a leading manufacturer of plastic injection molded products, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician.
SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains hydraulic, utility and mechanical machinery and all auxiliary equipment, utilities and physical plant maintenance by performing the following duties. 2nd shift (training on 1st shift for a few weeks)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for having the expertise and ability to do the following:
o Perform duties in a safe workmanship manner.
o Read and understand solid state electronics and electrical schematics.
o Read and understand hydraulic schematics.
o Use appropriate test equipment to diagnose failures such as voltmeter, megometer, dewpoint meter.
o Set up molding machines as needed for maintenance trouble shooting.
o Stick weld in the four basic positions.
o Tig weld, including aluminum.
o Use oxygen/acetylene torches.
o Enter machine repairs and scheduled P. M.’s on the computer.
o Document in writing the details of repairs, etc.
· Adjust, repair, rebuild, monitor, paint, or clean any piece of equipment, or any system owned by the Company, make minor repairs and revisions to the building(s) and grounds as needed.
· Always keep workstations neat and orderly.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED. Must have completed basic industrial maintenance courses or equivalent work experience. 18-24 months as a Maintenance Technician level A or B or 48-60 months as a maintenance person or mechanic with broad trouble shooting abilities.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Electrical (basic); Plumbing; Welding.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Any additional training is beneficial.
