Reporting to Director of Collections or designee, the Specialist works with consumers to drive collection efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completes in bound and out bound calls in a positive manner.
- Evaluates consumers’ accounts while balancing the consumers needs with the business SOPs.
- Works with consumers to negotiate debt repayment; Overcomes obstacles and solidifies payment commitments.
- Resolves consumer discrepancies and resolves any issues regarding consumers’ accounts.
- Stays current and adheres to quality standards; Ensures compliance with the applicable laws and regulations that govern third part collections, such as the FDCPA.
- Participates in other activities as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must communicate effectively, and take personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and learning opportunities. The ability to build strong consumer relationships while delivering customer-centric solutions is required while consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances. Bilingual capabilities a plus.
Education and Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequently required to talk or hear, and use hand to type, handle, or touch objects.
- Regularly required to stand and walk, and may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
