This Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering complex projects for the Information Security Team. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, decision-making, and communication skills to ensure successful project completion on time, within budget, and to high standards. The Project Manager sets objectives, milestones, risks, and metrics throughout the project lifecycle, provides clear direction to project teams, and communicates progress to leadership and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project goals aligned with the organization’s strategic vision; develop detailed plans, roadmaps, and resource requirements.
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, providing direction, support, and coaching to achieve project objectives.
- Serve as Scrum Master as needed: facilitate Agile ceremonies, ensure team alignment, and remove blockers.
- Create and maintain clear, actionable user stories and manage the product backlog to align with project goals.
- Mentor and support team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Identify, assess, and address project risks and issues; develop solutions to keep projects on track.
- Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and implement improvements to enhance project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
- Provide regular project status updates, reports, and metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure project governance standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage or assist with vendor relationships as needed.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience managing large IT projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master and creating clear, effective user stories.
- Excellent knowledge of project management best practices, including Agile and sprint-based planning.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide high-performing teams.
- Creative thinker and problem-solver who thrives in complex, evolving technology environments.
- Ability to define problems, gather facts, analyze data, and draw sound conclusions.
- Strong understanding of business and technology dependencies and the ability to reflect these in project plans.
