We are seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general repairs and maintenance, with the ability to handle a wide range of tasks including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and other building maintenance work. This role requires someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance, repairs, and improvements on properties.
Handle plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains, and repairing water lines.
Complete carpentry work including framing, drywall installation/repair, door and window repairs, cabinetry, and shelving.
Conduct basic electrical repairs such as replacing outlets, light fixtures, and switches (within non-licensed scope).
Perform painting, patching, and finishing work as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, clean, and operational condition.
Respond to work orders in a timely manner and ensure quality workmanship.
Assist in preventative maintenance schedules and seasonal property upkeep.
Communicate effectively with management, tenants, and property owners regarding repairs and project status.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and general building systems.
Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely.
Understanding of safety procedures, building codes, and repair techniques.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent; trade certifications a plus.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Comfortable working on ladders and in varying weather conditions.
Able to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
