Responsibilities
- Industrialization of new products (starting support, tool optimizations, process and product adoption), interpret and analyze the product calculation.
- Root cause analysis in case of failure (process, material, tools) in the project phase, on site between CPS and operations.
- Continuous improvement of stability and waste reduction in the project phase, on site organization/coordination tool launch.
- Support on ramp up for new projects and industrialization in plant.
- Participation in tool acceptance. Realize profit-oriented change management.
- Assure smooth hand over to operations by reaching all project target set in context of new parts approval. Transfer of technology know-how (product, material, process, tools, etc.).
- Collaboration in customer projects as part of the project team, support operation topics.
- Has full responsibility for the tools used in Carcoustics.
- Manage all activities related to the tools, including RFQs, tool makers selection, tool kick off, specifications, design approval, timings, acceptance and launching.
- Work closely with the project team members, costing, maintenance, purchasing and the production plant. Develops innovative process solutions. Collaborates on the creation of process documentations and D/PFMEAs. Travels to production plants to launch new tools when needed.
- Salary range $70k-75.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar.
- 2-5 years of experience as Tool and Process Engineer or similar position, preferably in the automotive industry. Understanding of GD&Ts and FMEAs, CAD.
- Experience with thermoforming, injection molding, PU. Automation is a plus.
