Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Travel to assigned job sites as required; assemble, install, diagnose, and service products to meet manufacturer's specifications and company safety, quality and productivity standards.
- Inspects products and parts, repairing when necessary.
- Carry required tools, parts and supplies required to perform each assigned job.
- Follow company travel policies and procedures.
- Answer any customer questions/inquiries and/or forward to the Service Manager.
- Arrive at the job site at the specified time. Notify the Service Managers of any delays. Use time productively and in a value-added manner.
- Maintain uniforms and personal grooming/hygiene for a neat and clean appearance.
- Manage assignments on a project basis. Review project plans with customers before beginning work and provide routine updates to keep the customer and your manager informed.
- Accurately record machine specific information, i.e.; serial number, gauge, customer's machine number and description of work performed.
- Accurately record start/stop times for work updating machine maintenance records.
- Routinely and accurately, report the status of assigned jobs as required.
- Complete all documentation in a neat and legible manner.
- Follow CMC and customer safety policies and procedures. Work using ergonomic principals for all tasks to minimize strain and repetitive motion.
- Ensure safety of work area, barricade work area as required, and maintain good housekeeping practices. Report any unsafe conditions to the Service Manager and Safety Manager.
- Follow assignments and instructions from Service Manager. Be receptive to suggestions /comments made and take the necessary action to resolve any issues. Notify Service Manager of any incomplete work.
- Document any non-conformances, take photos, and submit daily status report/updates.
- Submit ECR/QAR forms for any improvements/opportunities. Document any field changes required, and notify Service Manager for any requested customer changes.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- High School or trade School graduate.
- Must have 2-5 years of hands-on experience in the assembly, repair or rebuilding of related machinery.
- Must be able to travel frequently within the US and to foreign countries on extended assignments (up to one or more months).
