Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10:30pm - 7:00am

What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health

Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment. May set up machining machines, make adjustments and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Train and become proficient on multiple machines in various departments.

• Responsible for in line and finished inspections of materials and products on line.

• Responsible for completing paperwork to ensure quality on product.

• Responsible for maintaining high levels of productivity and quality output on assigned machines.

• Follow design specifications to produce quality product.

• troubleshoot machine as needed.

• Follow schedule of production and work with lead/supervisor to ensure production demands are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

• 1-3 years related work experience and/or training, preferred.

• Works under moderate degree of supervision.

• Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.

• Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor.

Anticipated hourly range: $23.80 hour (includes shift differential)
