At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community based services.
As the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMNNP) you will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Cardinal McCloskey Community Services (CMCS). The PMHNP will work in coordination with CMCS' outpatient counseling services to provide psychiatric services to adult and youth clients with behavioral health issues. Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, adolescents, and children experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorders. The Nurse Practitioner will prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement and the state's Nurse Practice Act. Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, reports, and summaries to entities/agencies (funders, insurance companies, etc.) as required. Return calls and emails promptly (within 24 hours of receipt or sooner if clinically necessary) Respond to client emergencies and be accessible to Provident's 24/7 crisis clinicians.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus on Psychiatric nursing
- Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health
- 3 years of experience as a psychiatric provider
- Experience in tele medicine
- An unrestricted license to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York
- Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in New York
