What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Cardiovascular Consultants of Southern Delaware?
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to work in our fast paced Lewes and occasionally in our Millville office.
1 year MA experience preferred. MA's are responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and recording patient medications, medical histories, vital signs, test results, social, surgical and family history and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality. Must be fluent with manual blood pressures.
Will also be crossed trained for scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance. Ensuring compliance with all heath care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA. Maintain professionalism with patients and all other guests of the office. All other duties required to allow the flow of the practice to run smoothly. Important to be a team player and flexible. Reliable transportation to travel between Lewes and Millville offices.
Full time, Monday thru Friday
Must be willing to travel to Millville location as needed.
Stock – keeping track of what is needed and adding to list. Putting away when received.
Exam rooms, BP cuff wiped down after every patient
End of day- wipe rooms down, take out regular trash if needed, empty red bag trash if needed
Scheduling/Rescheduling appointments
Float between offices as needed
Any other tasks assigned by supervisor
