Job Title: Pharmacy Director

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations and management within a healthcare facility. This includes ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, overseeing staff training and development, managing inventory, and working closely with healthcare providers to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice
• Oversee staff training and development, including performance evaluations and continuing education opportunities
• Manage inventory levels and procurement of medications and supplies
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy for patients
• Monitor pharmacy performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and quality of care
• Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in pharmacy practice

Qualifications and Skills:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school
• Active pharmacy license in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy practice, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office applications
